The best Merlot of Chile
I am an unashamed fan of the Merlots made by Torreón de Paredes. They have the aristocratic feel of wines grown amidst the Andean breeze, and this fruit comes from some of Cachapoal’s highest vineyards. The wine shows red fruit, spicy notes and firm tannins that are neither heavy nor aggressive. It’s as if the brute force and tension in this Colección Privada comes elegantly attired in black tie. An excellent Merlot and a point of reference in the Chilean wine scene.
