Carmenere is one swinging single

“Torreón de Paredes Reserva Privada is lovely dark crimson in the glass with spicy, just slightly herbaceous bouquet. The palate was smooth, with some oak flavours present, and tame tannins. It had that charming mixture of richness and fruit that marks a good wine.
Although this wine is built for more or less immediate consumption, both Torreon de Paredes and the Carmen Gran Reserva, lasted much better on the counter top than I expected. I use this to test cellarability, and both these wines were fine at the three day mark.”
